IN DIALOGUE
Through a series of artist interviews, Rom Levy generates a dialogue between art scenes.
The dialogue, by definition, has a pedagogic dimension. It’s a mediation between distanced parts that meet through discussion. Interviews are also an important tool for revealing the meaning of art works and practices. They thus participate in a collective praxis that brings together artists, critics, curators and audiences in a common and genuine interest for diverse contemporary art forms. If the boundaries are constantly blurred between art scenes, it is mainly through the verbal and written exchanges of life experiences and stories from different contexts that make up our globalized art worlds.
Here, the purpose is to widen street art lovers’ scope of interest, by diving into the productive connexions that can be made with the contemporary art scene. The Street Art News platform is used in this direction, introducing new types of artists and working towards the broadening of street art culture.
